Mega Group USA Adds Staff

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on May 7, 2013

Home furnishings buying group Mega Group USA has added two new staff to better serve membership and add services.

Myriam Pirtle Garrison has joined the Mega Group USA, Germantown, Tenn., as field market manager with responsibilities in Georgia and South Carolina. Her experience includes prior buying-group experience and 15 years in retail with Knoxville Wholesale. Garrison is based in Atlanta.

Victor Bared, who has mobile security and wholesale experience with Electrolux, has joined the company as field market manager. He is based in the San Antonio area and will lead the development of the Texas market in all Mega market categories.

€œBy reducing the territory sizes in our Southeast U.S. market, we will have more touches with our dealers and deliver even better support for business growth," said Mega Group USA President Rick Bellows. "Assigning a specific manager to Texas will help us better manage the Southwest U.S and give us more manpower in the large, important state of Texas. We look forward to great representation of Mega with Victor Bared€.

Chad Burris has joined the company as Assistant Product Protection Manager and reports to Vice President of Business Services Mallory Parker. Burris is a graduate of Harding University with a degree in marketing and has experience in ambassador sales with Best Buy and business development experience in the digital signage industry. His role includes national convention support, direct marketing and dealer support and training.

€œChad will grow, develop and service the Product Protection Program and enhance the performance for MEGA dealers," Parker said. His focus will deliver benefits for our dealers and facilitate faster growth.€

Mega Group USA has 1,600 retail members with 3,000 store fronts in the furniture, electronic, appliance and mattress industries.
