For 50 years, Stout Home Furnishings has been making its mark in Hurricane. Check almost any household in the valley, and odds are some piece of furniture can be traced back to the family owned business.

In those five decades, the business has changed and evolved as the city has grown up around it, moving its way through three generations of managers, surviving bad economic times, selling everything from hardware to televisions to carpet, and emerging into its second half-century as a relative rarity - a modernized, successful business still owned and operated by one family.
