Cheminne Taylor-Smith has joined Tobi Fairley Associates as senior vice president of brand marketing, a new position.
Taylor-Smith comes to the Little Rock, Ark.-based interior design brand from the High Point Market Authority, where she was vice president of marketing.
In her new post, Taylor-Smith will be responsible for overall brand strategy and management of the Tobi Fairley brand, including development of new products and services, marketing, public relations, social media management, and creation and support of live events, seminars and design camps.
Taylor-Smith and Fairley also are creating a new division for Tobi Fairley Associates that will offer consulting work for clients in the areas of branding, strategic planning, marketing, social media, public relations and event planning. The company will also launch a new Web site in August.
I am thrilled that Cheminne is joining me in what is an extraordinary and creative endeavor for this company, said Tobi Fairley, president and CEO. Cheminnes unique talents and her award-winning work in marketing and branding for the High Point Market and other companies will be an integral part of the future growth of Tobi Fairley Associates, and for our clients. We already have strong interest in the new consulting division, which will include work for furnishings manufacturers and suppliers, show managers, interior designers, and retailers.
Cheminne Taylor-Smiths background includes extensive experience in public relations, marketing, branding and communications, including posts with Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, InFurniture, Reed Business Publications, and other companies in the home furnishings arena.
I am an entrepreneur by nature, and that makes me a perfect fit for a visionary thinker like Tobi Fairley, said Taylor-Smith. What we will be building together will include some very new concepts for the interior design and home furnishings worlds. Im looking forward to getting started.
