McRoskey Mattress Donates Beds for Homeless

By Home Furnishings Business in Bedding on April 26, 2013

San Francisco-based McRoskey Mattress Co. is working its local community to ensure the city's homeless get a restful night's sleep.

Working with Canon Barcus Community House, a program that provides long-term housing for San Francisco's homeless. McRoskey has donated hundreds of new mattresses, box springs and bed frames.  After an initial donation of 200 mattresses when Canon Barcus opened its doors in 2002, it has been supplying the 48-unit facility an average of one bed a month as new residents move in.

Over the years, McRoskey Mattress has been active in its local community, sponsoring the arts and local cinema, supporting area design students, and frequently hosting fundraisers, art exhibits and other non-profit events in the loft above its San Francisco showroom.
