Ethan Allen Reports 3Q Results

Home furnishings retailer Ethan Allen (NYSE: ETH) reported net income of $4.4 million for the third quarter ended March 31, compared to $27.5 million for the same period last year.

Net sales for the quarter were $168.1 million, compared to $175.9 million reported for the third quarter last year.

Net income for the nine-month period ended March 31 was $24.2 million, compared to $42.4 million during the same nine-month period last year.

The company reported third quarter net sales of $132.1 million for its retail division. Last year's sales in the third quarter for the retail division were $131.4 million. Third quarter sales for Ethan Allen's wholesale division were 108.1 million, compared to net sales of $121 million for the previous year's third quarter.
