John P. Sedlak, 87, Dies

Sedlak started selling jewelry and appliances with $2 in his pocket. He ended up with Sedlak Interiors, one of Ohio's top-selling stores in its field.

Sedlak, 87, died April 9 at Ahuja Medical Center.

The upbeat man used to say that his initials, J.P., stood for Jet-Propelled. He gave people small flags that said "Don't Give Up the Ship." He survived the Battle of the Bulge and usually wore a leather jacket afterwards that displayed the Stars and Stripes.
