Furniture and interior designer, and TV personality Candice Olson will have a busy day Saturday, April 20, when High Point Furniture Market officially opens.

In addition to headlining two events at Highland House that day, where her extensive collection of upholstery and case goods continues to grow, Olson also will participate in special events for her many licensed product lines.

Olson's lighting licensee, AF Lighting, 4-6 p.m. will host a ribbon cutting and party at its new showroom, IHFC M-430.

Highland House's two events that day in Historic Market Square, space 172 include:
"Coffee Talk with Candice,"9-10:30 am, where she will welcome an in-showroom audience consisting of dealers, designers and press who will have an opportunity to be €œup-close and personal€ with her, ask questions about her furniture collection, and discuss other design and retail-related themes.

Olson will join Highland House's cocktail party (4:30-7:30 p.m.) around 6 p.m. to meet and greet furniture dealers, designers, press and other guests in attendance.

Highlights of Candice Olson€™s latest introductions to her upholstery and case goods at Highland House for April 2013 include: Storm, a new upholstery fabric palette, evident in a number of new fabrics in an array of cool blue-grays shown on new and existing upholstery frames; 19 additions to the already extensive Candice Olson upholstery collection; introduction of Candice Olson Leather, 19 leathers expand the number of leather offerings available with 18 additional items now available in leather; and 15 new pieces of case goods and occasional accents.

€œWe are really happy with the response across the board from our customer base regarding the Candice Olson product line,€ said Parker Goss, Highland House president. €œThe reaction to and buy-in with this collection has been phenomenal for us. According to the feedback and orders we have received from dealers, this collection has hit a chord with consumers. People really seem to connect with Candice as well as with her designs. We are working closely with Candice Olson in an on-going effort to add more of her stylish, well-priced upholstery, case goods and occasional accents at future markets.€
