Legacy Classic Bench Exempt from Duties

The U.S. Department of Commerce has exempted Legacy Classic Furniture's Heritage Court bench from duties on wood bedroom furniture from China.

In June 2010, Legacy Classic requested a ruling by the DOC to determine whether the Heritage Court bench is outside of the scope of the wood bedroom furniture antidumping order.

The Court of International Trade sustained DOC's ruling that the bench falls outside the scope of the order on March 6 this year.

In the event the CIT's ruling is not appealed or, if appealed, upheld, DOC will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate entries of Legacy's Heritage Court Bench without regard to antidumping duties, and to lift
suspension of liquidation of such entries.
