Cresent Upgrades Las Vegas Showroom

By Home Furnishings Business in Case Goods on January 21, 2013

Third-generation solid wood furniture vendor Cresent Fine Furniture is moving to a new Las Vegas Furniture Market showroom.

The new space is B-554 in World Market Center's Building B.

€œWe€™re excited to join some of the industry€™s best brands on the fifth floor of Building B," said Richard Tomkins, head of sales and marketing for Cresent. "Our business continues to flourish and we are looking forward to expanding our retail partnerships to showcase our best selling solid wood collections.€

Independent retailers have had success over the last year with Cresent€™s shared container program, which enables retailers to select from five collections to mix into 250-cube shipments directly from Cresent€™s Vietnam warehouse.

Neno Nenoff, president of American Furniture Galleries(http://www.americanfurniture.com) in Colorado Springs, Col., praised the program: €œI love Cresent€™s direct ship program. They stock all the merchandise, I get it quickly and at a significant savings, which has boosted our margins.€

In December, Cresent launched a new Web site that is optimized for mobile devices.

€œAs consumers are spending more time shopping on tablets and smartphones, we want to make the Web-viewing experience easy and rewarding,€ Tomkins added. €œOur sales team use it everyday in stores to educate floor sales and designers about our company and the range of solid wood products we offer. It€™s really a digital catalog for mobile.€
