By Home Furnishings Business in on January 9, 2013

The Specialty Sleep Association has joined the American Sustainable Business Council, a business policy advocacy group based in Washington, D.C.

The Specialty Sleep Association consists of retailers, manufacturers and suppliers who develop, manufacture, market and sell innovative, new-technology mattress and bedding products.

"ASBC is thrilled to have the Specialty Sleep Association join as a new partner," said David Levine, CEO and co-founder of the American Sustainable Business Council. "Their membership proves that it's possible to thrive and create good jobs as we can build responsible businesses. They bring an important trade association voice to our efforts to advance a more robust and sustainable economy."

"The Specialty Sleep Association is particularly enthusiastic about becoming a new partner of the American Sustainability Business Council joining many businesses and industry associations and organizations advocating sustainable businesses practices," said Dale T. Read, president of the Specialty Sleep Association. "The SSA is committed to transparency and truth in claims about green marketing with consumer disclosure contents labels for mattresses and bedding. We believe that ASBC will help us achieve our goals to educate consumers about safer, healthier and greener sleep product choices for their homes."
