City Furniture Sets New Store Construction for January

By Home Furnishings Business in on December 12, 2012 Construction on a new Ashley Furniture HomeStore in West Palm Beach, Fla., is set to begin in January.

The 35,000-square-foot store is a $5 million project. The store is designed to achieve LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and will feature climate control, lighting, plumbing and irrigation systems.

The store will adjoin City Furniture's http://www.cityfurniture.com/existing West Palm Beach showroom and will feature a café for customers.

City Furniture is expanding both of its brands with environmentally friendly renovations and new facilities in its market.

A tilt-wall construction project, the new West Palm Beach showroom will minimize energy and water consumption with green features such as a reflective roof coating, a super-high-efficiency air conditioning system, and expanses of low-emitting glass. More than 90 percent of the store€™s light bulbs will be LED bulbs.
