QuantiSense, an Atlanta-based provider of retail analytics and decision orchestration solutions, has partnered with Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC).
As a result of this partnership and certified integration, retailers will benefit from the rapid and focused implementation of the QuantiSense Decision Orchestration Platform which fits seamlessly into Teradatas scalable, enterprise-wide retail solution.
The QuantiSense Decision Orchestration Platform version 6 has been tested and certified to work with all currently supported versions of the Teradata Database. The QuantiSense solution includes executive dashboards and personalized Retail ScorebooksTM designed to deliver intuitive business graphics--via desktop or mobile access--that empower users to quickly identify trends and highlight problems, accelerating the decision-making process. Then Retail Playbooks ensure consistent use of best practices for team members ranging from merchandising executives, buyers, allocators and planners to store operations.
Retailers such as The Gap, Hudsons Bay and Hallmark Cards are already using the combined QuantiSense and Teradata solutions, which are designed to boost sales and operating margins, avoid stockouts, improve inventory productivity and postpone the need for markdowns.
The Teradata Retail Logical Data Model also provides a foundation for other solutions including the Aprimo Relationship Management and Demand Chain Management applications. QuantiSense and Teradata are exploring ways to use these complimentary solutions to provide both operational support and exception analysis reporting.
Combining the QuantiSense and Teradata solutions gives retailers the best of both worlds--a quick return on investment in key aspects of their business with the power to expand the data warehouse across their entire operation, said Tim Simmons, vice president of retail industry marketing, Teradata. This unique combination of powerful retail analytics and the most scalable platform family available will appeal to companies that want to expand their analysis and to those who want to stand up an integrated data warehouse very quickly.
We have been working side by side with Teradata for several years, so our joint customers have already seen the value of our off the shelf retail solutions paired with highly scalable Teradata platforms to make more profitable merchandising and store ops decisions, said Jeff Buck, CEO of QuantiSense. The combination of our solutions provides retailers of all sizes with powerful analytics, and we look forward to moving our partnership with Teradata to a new level.
