Eleanor Rigby Leather Co. has moved its High Point Furniture Market showroom to Showplace, space 3555.
At Market, Eleanor Rigby will debut its new line of benchmade leather sofas, sectionals and recliners.
Founded in 2011, Eleanor Rigby specializes in leather upholstery made with 100 percent top-grain hides, said Christopher Thorpe, president and co-owner along with Peter Robinson. Styles range from modern, Euro-contemporary models with chrome and stainless steel accents to traditional pieces with hand-antiqued, full-grain hides, embossing and nailhead details.
Thorpe said the line also includes some leathers that our skilled artisans hand rub to create a dramatic vintage look. The result is a finish with a buttery soft hand that enhances the natural characteristics and markings of the leather.
He added the companys frames are built to stand the test of time, with a rugged combination of premium, kiln-dried hardwoods and plywood that have been corner blocked, glued and stapled for strength and durability.
Seating cushions are constructed from high-resiliency, Cal. 117-compliant fire retardant foam and many models include an individually pocketed innerspring core. Seat cushions and back pillows typically feature a premium feather/down/polyester fiber blend for a luxurious, plush sit.
Eleanor Rigbys line is produced in its own plant in Tijuana, Mexico. The companys headquarters are in San Diego. Products are shipped within four to six weeks of ordering and can be drop-shipped anywhere in the United States, according to Thorpe.
Eleanor Rigby chose Showplace as the location for its new showroom, Thorpe said, because of its strong mix of upholstery sources. We like the spirit of the building its upbeat, lively and modern.
Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for International Market Centers, said the addition of Eleanor Rigby reflects the dynamic nature of the High Point Market: As the worlds leading furniture market, its the perfect place for new companies to introduce their lines. Buyers know that they will find the latest, most exciting home furnishings in High Point.
Eleanor Rigby targets its line to mid-sized independent retailers with a strong presence in the medium- to upper-level price range.
The company showed in the Hamilton Court Building at the April market.
