Home furnishings retailer The Brick Group (TSX:BRK) has selected TD Financing Services Inc. to administer its private label credit program.

TD Financing is a subsidiary of The Toronto-Dominion Bank and an affiliate of Mahwah, N.J.-based TD Retail Card Services.

Under the agreement, the Ontario-based TD Financing Services will support all facets of the Brick Card Platinum consumer finance program for the chain, which has about 229 company-owned and franchised locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, the Northwest Territories and Yukon.

Accepted in all company-owned and franchised stores, the Brick credit card will offer consumers a menu of deferred interest and equal pay programs.

"The Brick is proud to announce its new relationship with TD, which brings together two of Canada's most recognizable brands for the benefit of the Brick consumer - in the form of industry-leading retail financing solutions," said Vi Konkle, president and CEO of Edmonton, Alberta-based Brick. "We value our strategic vendor relationships, and we look forward to a successful long term relationship with TD which will positively support operations and improve the customer experience."
