Fortunata Returns to Market Square

By Home Furnishings Business in Accessories on September 27, 2012

Italian ceramic accents vendor Fortunata is moving its High Point Furniture Market showroom to Suites at Market Square.

Atlanta-based Fortunata first established its High Point presence in that building in October 1998. Fortunata's new location is in the Salon on the Mezzanine level space M-7034. Owner and Chief Designer Margaret Proctor said the move was the result of a strong desire to be surrounded by other like-minded artists who are both inspiring and intimately involved in the creative process.

"I am moved by objects with strong expressive force," Proctor said. "They must be authentic. "The objects I create are very personal to me. They are like friends you invite into your home. Each piece carries with it the spirit of the skilled Italian artists I collaborate with to produce these colorful and useful products."

While rooted in traditional Italian styles, Fortunata takes the process several steps further, creating more modern designs that combine striking contemporary colors and themes with all the time-tested hallmarks of quality craftsmanship.

At the Oct. 13-18 Market, Fortunata will unveil its newest collections, including the Ginkgo Vibrant Tuscan Gold and the Fresh New Persimmon collections.
