West Elm Opening in Salt Lake

Home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a new store on Oct. 11 in Salt Lake City.

Located in the City Creek Center, the new store will open with the brand's Fall collection and an early preview of the Holiday assortment. Through a partnership with Etsy, the store also will feature a collection of decorative accessories and art made by artists from the Salt Lake City area. The local Etsy assortment is a first for a West Elm store in the United States.

To celebrate the store opening, West Elm will hold a sweepstakes offering a chance to win a $2,000 shopping spree and access to the store's Oct. 10 pre-opening event, hosted in partnership with Craft Lake City, a Salt Lake City-based non-profit dedicated to educating, promoting and inspiring local artisans, while raising awareness around the vibrant creative culture of the Utah arts community. In addition, the first 300 shoppers on opening day will receive a free West Elm Salt Lake City tote bag.

"We are thrilled to be opening at City Creek Center, and proud to be partnering with Craft Lake City and Etsy to showcase local artists within our store."
