Ernie Koh has been named chairman of the board for the International Furniture Fair Singapore.
Koh, the executive director of Koda, succeeds Andrew Ng, deputy CEO of Lorenzo International.
With close to two decades of significant experience in international marketing and corporate branding, Koh will spearhead IFFS' marketing strategies, formulate business expansion plans, broach new design concepts and take charge of driving the business growth internationally, as well as to strengthen the IFFS foothold in the region.
"I am honored to be part of a dynamic team and I hope to play a significant role in promoting IFFS to be one of the best exhibition experiences for all delegates through tenancy remixing, introducing new spectrum of experiences and enhanced or innovative marketing and promotions," he said. "There will be new challenges faced, but I am sure we will adopt clearly defined strategies and a creative approach to ensure healthy and continuous growth for IFFS."
An enthusiast for green and sustainable initiatives, Koh is also the vice president of the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC). Koh's role in the SFIC has garnered him the industry knowledge to lead and be at the forefront of IFFS' future.
