Rug supplier AMS Imports will be showcasing a collection of rugs from InnerAsia Rugs at the upcoming High Point Market.
InnerAsia Rugs, founded by Kesang Tashi, works in collaboration with new generations of weavers. The collaboration has helped revitalize Tibet's rug heritage.
"Our ability to represent such a wide array of area rugs is beneficial to designers and customers because they can be assured that we have any area rug they may be looking for whether it is a hand-crafted Tibetan rug, hand-woven reversible Peruvian flat weave, or had-woven Egyptian flat weave," said Anne Schewe, AMS president and founder. "The Tibetan rugs from InnerAsia can complement any transitional, traditional, or contemporary living space."
The collection of rugs at market will include the Silk Road collection of 100-knot, wool traditional designs along with 60-knot rugs in more contemporary designs. The rugs are woven from hand-carded, hand-spun wool from Tibetan sheep.
