Solid wood furniture vendor Home Trends & Design will move its High Point Furniture Market showroom to Suites at Market Square's Salon for the Fall show.
The company, which had a temporary space in Showplace for April Market, will exhibit in a 2,128-square-foot showroom in Space M-0837 at the October High Point show. Home Trends & Design will be an anchor in the new Salon expansion directly above the original Salon area on the Mezzanine Floor.
Were very excited about our new location, said Hank Cravey, CEO and cofounder of the company along with Dhaval Lodhavia, who oversees product design. You can see us to the right-front as you come up the escalator, so well be very visible.
Julie Messner, vice president of leasing for International Market Centers, said by expanding the SALON venue this market, IMC was able to add innovative, fashion-forward companies like Home Trends & Design to to this area that is known for showcasing the latest product introductions and new resources for the industry.
During the October market, Home Trends & Design will feature three new collections: Bergman, a line of mid-priced sofas and chairs inspired by Old World, European designs, with details including overstuffed rolled arms, elegantly tufted upholstery, rolled piping and hand-nailed trim; SoCo, named after the popular South Congress district of Austin, Texas, where Home Trends & Design is based, with one-of-a-kind chairs made from reclaimed materials such as silk and teak; and expansions to its French Vintage line of classic, French-inspired case goods and accent furniture.
Home Trends & Design once again was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for 2012, and the company also earned a spot on the Austin Business Journals Fast 50 list of fastest-growing local companies in 2011.
Home Trends & Design is a founding members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. In February, Home Trends & Design moved to a new corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas, doubling the size of its warehouse to 61,000 square feet. The company sources its line primarily from Southeast Asia.
