Berkshire Hathaway's furniture rental division Cort is expanding its marketing department with two executive appointments.
Lisa Woodworth has been named vice president of marketing, and Margaret Schwartz has been named director of marketing.
Woodworth is responsible for bolstering the company's corporate marketing efforts and reports to Jeff Pederson, president and CEO.
Prior to joining the company, Woodworth was vice president and director of strategy and planning at Ogilvy & Mather. Additionally, she spent a number of years as a senior manager within Kodak and Bausch & Lomb/Luxottica. At Bausch & Lomb 's Eyewear division, Woodworth held various sales positions and spent several years in their marketing department.
"Lisa's experience in advertising, product and process management, her people skills and branding know-how make her a tremendous addition to CORT's senior leadership team," Pederson said.
In her role as director of marketing, Schwartz will provide strategic direction for key vertical customer segments and implement new program initiatives.
Prior to joining Cort, Schwartz spent 13 years as a marketing consultant for MLS Consulting. Schwartz also served as vice president of marketing at Carfax where she was responsible for the company's strategic market planning and execution.
"I am excited to join Cort's marketing team and look forward to putting my skills to use to help strengthen and grow the Cort brand and take part in managing customer relationships," Schwartz said.
