Uttermost Enters Rug Market

Home accessories and furniture supplier Uttermost is jumping into the rug business at next month's High Point Market.

"Customers have been asking us for rugs for years and I think they

will be pleased," said Mac Cooper, president. "Rugs have been a top priority for many of us since last year, and this will be the biggest launch we have ever made into any new category."

The company's offerings range from flat weaves in bright colors, to wool and viscose hand-tufted rugs, to hand-knotted rugs in soft, worn patinas. The rugs are designed based on current fashions, with an emphasis on transitional patterns to work in a wide range of home settings. Traditional designs feature cleaner patterns with current colors.
