A U.S. Bankruptcy Court administrator has filed a motion to convert Linwood Furniture LLC into a Chapter 7 case and sell its assets.

The filing by Michael West says that Linwood "is not in a position to continue operations and is not conducting any ongoing business."

"The conversion of this case is in the best interests of creditors and the estate." West was not available for immediate comment. Judge Catharine Aron has set a hearing for 2 p.m. Sept. 5 at the court in Winston-Salem.
