Kincaid Expands Habitat for Humanity Support

By Home Furnishings Business in Community/Charitable Support on June 4, 2012

Kincaid Furniture will contribute 1 percent of the wholesale price of every piece ordered in June from the company€™s entire line to Habitat for Humanity.

Kincaid, Hudson, N.C., is the only home furnishings manufacturer designated as a corporate partner with the international charity.

The promotion, dubbed the Better Home Event, gives retailers and consumers the opportunity to purchase from the company€™s more than 22 solid wood collections and 50-plus upholstery styles, all backed with online, print and broadcast advertising support.  Each order Kincaid receives generates an automatic donation to Habitat, a not-for-profit organization that has built more than 500,000 decent, affordable homes and served more than 2.5 million people worldwide.

The company originally designated its Homecoming collections crafted from solid pine, maple, walnut and oak as the generators of the ongoing multi-year program with Habitat.

€œMany of our retailers have had tremendous success working with their local Habitat organizations over the last 18 months, providing grassroots support and significant contributions in their communities," said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mike Dyer. "With the Better Home Event, all Kincaid retailers, regardless of what collections they order, are now supporting this exceptional cause through their purchases.€

Kincaid has made a significant investment in promoting and supporting retailers whose efforts benefit Habitat, including the creation of a new dedicated Web site, development of advertising materials and promotional support, direct access to Habitat staff to help guide retailers in their efforts, and more.

€œEveryone deserves decent, affordable housing,€ said Dyer. €œIn collaboration with our dealers we can help make that goal a reality.€
