Andy Bray Named President of Vanguard Furniture

Andy Bray has been named president of Vanguard Furniture, succeeding Dixon Mitchell in the position.
Bray, a 20-year veteran of the furniture industry, was most recently senior vice president of sales at for the Hickory, N.C.-based company.
Bray began his career at Vanguard as a sales representative in Ohio. In his 20 years with the company, his duties changed and grew to include managing retail operations in Michigan.
"Andy's experience in retail and sales allows him to bring the voice of our retail customer and consumer to our company," said John Bray, Vanguard CEO. "He understands the industry from a comprehensive perspective which gives him the vision to lead our company into the future."
Andy Bray lives in Hickory, N.C., with his wife Renee and their two children.
"I am grateful for this opportunity," Andy Bray said. "I am also appreciative of the efforts made by Dixon Mitchell. Throughout his tenure at Vanguard, Dixon positioned the company exceedingly well, which will make my job that much easier."
Mitchell has joined furniture supplier Sherill Furniture.
