The Western Home Furnishings Association, Roseville, Calif., will hold its 2010 Conference & Expo May 2-4 at Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spain Anaheim, Calif. The event will combine the unmatched originality of Disney's one-of-a-kind environment, with a diverse collection of education, networking, workshops and events.
"There is no better place, and no better partner, than Disney to inspire all of us," said Claudia LeClair, WHFA's 2010 president.
This year's conference includes an educational partnership with the Disney Institute.
"Disney Institute is a recognized leader in experiential training, leadership development, benchmarking and cultural change for businesses from around the globe," said Sharron Bradley, WHFA's executive director. "This is an opportunity not to be missed, especially in this competitive business climate."
As a world renowned marketing powerhouse, Disney re-wrote the rules of business. By focusing on the core competencies that Disney is famous for, retailers can transform their operations, inspire leadership and embrace the future with the spirit of this visionary company to guide them.
The conference will open with a story of building a new corporate culture from Ken Schmidt, former director of communication for Harley-Davidson.
Other educational highlights include a behind-the-scenes look at how Disney merchandises its stores, the EXpresso EXpo sessions, which are 20-minute shots of education, and a closing session on "Getting Your Business to Work" by George Hedley, The Business Builder, who will show attendees how to transform their company into a systemized and organized growing business that delivers bottom-line results, builds equity, wealth and freedom.
Attendees also have the opportunity to utilize great incentives and rarely seen rates for this meeting and family vacation destination. Room rates for Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa that have been known to reach as high as the mid-$300 range are only $189 (single/quad) per night from April 25May 8.
When registering for the host hotel, this deal also includes waived resort fees, free parking, one complimentary Twilight Pass, $25 meal voucher and much more. To reserve your hotel room at the Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa, call (714) 520-5005, and use the reservation code GCWD10A.
