Hooker Promotes Huckfeldt to Corporate Controller

By Home Furnishings Business in on December 18, 2009 Hooker Furniture Corp. (NASDAQ-GS: HOFT) has named Paul A. Huckfeldt to the position of corporate controller and principal accounting officer effective Jan. 1.

Huckfeldt has more than 30 years of experience in accounting, ranging from privately held concerns to large, global, publicly traded companies. Huckfeldt joined Hooker in April 2004 and led the company€™s Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and subsequent compliance efforts through February 2006. He was promoted to manager of operations accounting in March 2006 and has managed Hooker's corporate accounting functions during his tenure in that role.
