Viewpoint Studios Property to be Auctioned

The assets of photography and video company Viewpoint Studios in Greensboro, N.C., will be sold at a public auction that started this week.

The auction will be conducted in two phases with the set decorations, office furniture, artwork, rugs, and furniture being sold online through May 23. The second phase will offer computers, digital photography equipment, trucks, automobile and sets, which will be conducted Friday, May 18.

The company had apparently closed in February.

Viewpoint had more than 30 set environments and one of the largest daylight capabilities in the U.S. The facility featured a prepress and digital media center that performed retouching and image manipulation.

Iron Horse Auction Co., Inc. of Rockingham, NC has been commissioned to handle the transaction.

"This auction contains the very best in commercial wireless photography and video equipment available in the world," said Thomas McInnis of Iron Horse. "They produced catalog photos for many of America's leading retail and wholesale establishments. This auction contains a large volume of high quality items throughout the property."
