NJ Files Fraud Lawsuit Against Furniture Companies

The N.J. Division of Consumer Affairs said Tuesday it is suing a group of related furniture companies with outlets in Lyndhurst, Fair Lawn and Ridgefield, alleging multiple violations of the state Consumer Fraud Act.
In a civil lawsuit filed in Superior Court in Union County, DCA alleges the companies owned by Lev Stanik of Rahway and Roman Tyger of Brooklyn failed to deliver ordered items, delivered the wrong or damaged pieces and failed to provide refunds or gave refund checks that bounced to dozens of customers.
