Four years ago, Kurt L. Darrow was forced to make some of the toughest decisions of his life. The La-Z-Boy Inc. chairman, president and CEO had to make cuts, and had no time to spare.
The company had ended its 2009 fiscal year in April with $122.7 million in losses and a stock that was trading for about $2 per share nearly 70 percent less than the previous year. It was the most trying time in my career, Darrow told MLive.com from inside the furniture giants headquarters in Monroe.
