Contemporary furnishings vendor Armen Living, Los Angeles, donated furniture from its Fall 2009 collection for sale at Project Angel Food's "Divine Design 2009" fundraising event earlier this month.
This shopping extravaganza, held Dec. 3-7 in Beverly Hills, offered fashion, home, beauty and gift items at 50 percent to 90 percent off regular prices, with the proceeds going to provide meals to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
"We supported Divine Design because 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale directly benefit Project Angel Food's mission," said Kevin Kevonian, CEO of Armen Living.
Project Angel Food delivers 13,000 meals each week throughout Los Angeles County and is celebrating 20 years of service to the greater Los Angeles community.
Among the pieces donated was Armen Living's 5th Avenue armless club chair, a sleek and retro leisure chair upholstered in plush velvet.
