Advance gets another boost in furniture manufacturing

A Winston-Salem manufacturer of hospitality furnishings is moving to Advance to gain more space for a projected growth spurt. Beaufurn LLC, founded in 1996, is taking over the former Jeffco plant, a 72,000-square-foot building at 5269 U.S. 158. It plans to begin production there by Aug. 1. Beaufurn comes from the words "Beautiful Furniture." It designs and makes high-quality furnishings, such as tables, chairs and lounge seating, for hotels, restaurants, universities, airports, food courts, coffee shops and commercial stores.
