Bassett Furniture complex fire ruled an accident

According to Henry County Fire Marshal Rodney Howell, investigators determined a cutting operation using a cutting torch was going on about 1 & 1/2 to two hours prior to the fire on March 29th. Howell believes that a spark from the cutting operation likely landed in the dust of the building, and smoldered until the work crews left. Howell said the building was full of old wood furniture components, boxes, and other potentially flammable
