Manufacturers' representative group Codarus will at the High Point Furniture Market this month in Space H223 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
The company, based in Dallas, is showing seven lines of home textiles, accent furniture and accessories in its new 3,500-square-foot showroom--Lili Alessandra, Bella Notte and Peacock Alley, luxury linens; Square Feathers, decorative pillows and lamp shades; Moss Studio, made-in-America upholstery; Journey Trading, occasional furniture and accessories; and Anali, embroidered sheets and decorative pillows. Most of the sources have never shown in High Point.
"A group of the vendors that we represent in our showrooms in Dallas and Atlanta requested that we open a showroom in High Point," said Cody Hutcheson, principal owner along with his partner, Dave Bugbee. "In recent years, High Point has evolved from a furniture show to a 'total home' show, with a greater range of other products such as top-of-bed and accessories. At market, we'll have a very 'soft' presentation, with 14 to 15 different luxury, fashion-forward bedding ensembles on display."
Codarus is "really excited" about coming to High Point, Hutcheson added. Market officials have been "very supportive in getting us what we need in terms of space, location and presence. With the economy starting to come back, were expecting to have a strong market."
Hutcheson said High Point will be a particularly good platform for Codarus to expand its business outside the United States: "Its a great market for international buyers."
Codarus' target customers include mid- to high-end furniture stores, bedding specialists and designers.
