Batchelor, furniture executive, dies

Frank H. Batchelor, a Brighton Township resident for nearly 60 years, presided over Batchelor Furniture stores for more than 50 years. The company, which had stores in Rochester, Monaca, the Northern Lights Shopping Center in Economy and the Beaver Valley Mall, operated from 1896 through 2010. Batchelor Furniture was an original tenant at Northern Lights in 1957 and an original tenant in the Beaver Valley Mall in 1969. The mall store closed in September 2010.
