Marge Carson, Philippe Langdon Settle Lawsuit

High-end furniture vendor Marge Carson has settled a lawsuit against
Philippe Langdon Furniture.
The lawsuit, which
Marge Carson filed in Federal Court in Greensboro, N.C., in December, alleged the intentional copying of numerous original designs and design elements found in several successful Marge Carson collections, including Bordeaux, Les Marches, Pacifica, Palladian, Perugia, Segovia, Umbria and Vouvray.
When asked about the settlement, Marge Carsons CEO, Jim La Barge, stated, "We are pleased to announce that we have reached an amicable settlement with Philippe Langdon concerning the litigation," said Marge Carson CEO Jim La Barge. "Marge Carson vigorously defends its intellectual property rights, and we are happy that the parties in this lawsuit could reach a resolution."
Marge Carson Inc., based in Rosemead, Calif., is a full-line vendor upholstery and casegoods. Philippe Langdon, Chino, Calif., designs middle to upper-price point case goods for sourcing in China.
