Market Authority, Decor Mentor Partner for High Point Events

By Home Furnishings Business in High Point on February 29, 2012 High Point Furniture Market and collaborative online community Decor Mentor will co-host two events for interior designers and retailers.

The first is a global Twitter chat on Wednesday, March 14, at 6 p.m. Using the hashtag #hpmkt, the chat will feature Decor Mentor ambassador design professionals who will showcase and discuss new products, trends, and events for the upcoming High Point Market, April 21-26.
 
Exhibitors who want to share their new product introductions or events are invited to e-mail information and photos to marketing@highpointmarket.org before Monday, March 12.
 
"The Twitter chat will be a fun way to preview the incredible products and collections that will debut in April," said High Point Market Authority Vice President Cheminne Taylor-Smith. "Anyone interested in getting inside information and seeing early product shots is welcome to join in the chat."
 
During the High Point Market, an interactive and educational installation titled ELEVATE will be located in the 3rd floor lobby of 220 Elm. Designed by Decor Mentor founder Lisa Ferguson, ELEVATE is an interactive installation that will allow design pros to post their business cards and take cards left by others in an exchange of expertise, encouragement, and inspiration.
 
The ELEVATE wall will be launched Saturday, April 21, with a cocktail event starting at 4 p.m. in 220 Elm, a co-host for the event, and the wall will be up through all six days of Market.
 
"We are so excited to offer a way for design pros to take their businesses to new heights," Ferguson said. "Look for our mentors in their Tangerine Tango as they show you how to use the ELEVATE wall to find business contacts and to share information."
