Las Vegas Sets Educational Events

World Market Center Las Vegas will present a lineup of complimentary educational seminars during the Jan. 30-Feb. 3 Las Vegas Furniture Market.

Events will feature thought leaders from all corners of the furniture, design and business worlds. Retailers will benefit from new ideas and best practices in powerful selling and marketing techniques and a distinguished panel discussion highlighting the latest in eco-friendly options. Other events aim at inspiring designers with insights from influencers in the interiors, antique, and even the Hollywood art community. Style setters and trend forecasters will share the hottest finds at Market and predictions for the coming seasons.

The week's events include:
* "First Look," Monday, Jan. 30, 10 a.m., World Forum, Building B, 16th Floor: HGTV's Monica Pedersen and home furnishings trend expert Julie Smith Vincenti dish about everything hot for the upcoming season. Fast-paced and highly-visual, their presentation will divulge the newest looks in bedroom and accent furniture, upholstery, lighting, area rugs, wall decor and more. Noteworthy designs from Gift+Home and Vegas Kids also will be featured. Attendees will receive a companion products guide to help them fast track to the latest trends at Market.
* "Luxeeco and One Good World: Designing the Future," Monday, Jan. 30, 11 a.m. World Forum, Building B, 16th Floor": Luxe Interiors+Design Magazine Editor Pamela Jaccarino will interview a panel of the Sustainable Furnishings Council's DESIGNINGreen Leaders, including Lori Dennis and Randall Whitehead, as well as SFC President Jeff Hiller. Building on studies showing that affluent consumers have increased concern for environmental issues and are particularly proactive in their shopping choices, Luxe is launching LuxeEco in May, a special edition focused on eco-friendly options.
