Jordan's Furniture opened its fifth location in Warwick, R.I., with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.
The 115,000-square-foot store joins Macys, Target, and JC Penney as anchor tenants at the Warwick Mall. More than 100 guests including vendors, local dignitaries, local organizations, and press heard comments from Jordan's President/CEO Eliot Tatelman, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian, and Warwick Mall Co-Managing Partner Aram Garabedian.
Guests also had a private viewing of, "Splash," the new state-of-the-art entertainment show within the store.
"We are excited about the prospect of a new store in the Rhode Island Market. Our concept of providing exceptional value, unparalleled selection and our famous Underprice Guarantee will now provide Rhode Islanders with a new fresh alternative when shopping for quality furniture and mattresses," Tatelman said. "One of the most exciting elements of our store, is Splash, a state-of-the-art show that combines the magic of laser, light, water and music. It is a free attraction that is going to be nothing like anyone has ever seen before. Not even in Vegas."
The new Jordan's Furniture location includes two levels of showrooms, as well as The Furniture Factory Outlet, Jordan's SleepLab and Splash. The Avon, Mass.-based furniture retailer hired approximately 85 employees for the new location.
