Gold Bond's Cool Response CertiPUR-US Certified

Mattress manufacturer Gold Bond's Cool Response Gel collection will feature CertiPUR-US-approved polyurethane foam materials and carry the CertiPUR-US seal.

Cool Response is part of the Hartford, Conn., company's EcoSense line of eco-friendly, made-in-the-USA mattresses.
  
"As more and more consumers become environmentally conscious, the materials used in the products they buy become equally as important," said Gold Bond President Bob Naboicheck. "The CertiPUR-US seal offers consumers looking for eco-friendly sleep products the confidence of knowing that some of the components used to make the collection is not only cooling and comfortable but has passed strict environmental, health and safety standards."

The CertiPUR-US program is a voluntary testing, analysis and certification program that was developed by members of the global foam industry in response to an increase in substandard imported foams. Items that carry the CertiPUR-US seal contain flexible polyurethane foam products that have been tested and certified by an independent laboratory to be sure they meet the strict standards of the CertiPUR-US program for physical performance, indoor emissions and environmental stewardship.

Mattresses made with materials that carry the CertiPUR-US seal may be marketed as providing low emission VOCs for indoor air quality and made without ozone depleting CFCs, PBDE fire retardant, formaldehyde, prohibited phthalates, mercury, lead and heavy metals.

Gold Bond currently ships to 40 states and five countries, and its products are available at more than 400 retail showrooms.
