Bernie & Phyl's to Open 2 Furniture Stores

Norton, Mass.-based Bernie & Phyl's has purchased two buildings at a former Lexington Furniture site, a 34,000 square foot building and a 5,000 square foot building, where the furniture-store chain plans to open a large showroom along with an upscale Metro Living concept store in the smaller building.
The stores are expected to open next month. A renovation to the property is planned, including adding a new facade to the exterior, architectural columns, colorful and warm-toned walls, and track lighting to create an elegant a backdrop to the furniture, the company said.
