Showtime Sets Events Schedule

The Winter Showtime 2011 has set its schedule of free events for the Dec. 4-7 fabric show in High Point.

Social events kick off Sunday with an opening night "Welcome Home" reception, 5:30-8 p.m. in the Historic Market Square Boiler Room, featuring food, drinks and live music. Participating sponsors include Altizer & Co. Decorative Textiles, American Silk Mills, Circa 1801, Home Fabrics by Wesley Mancini, Home Secrets Textile, Moore & Giles Inc., P. Kaufmann Fabrics, and Valdese Weavers Inc.

Market Square will be sponsor "Suite Libations" each evening, 4-6 p.m.

The Art of Design, SMS 1-844, will host a daily reception, 3-5 p.m. Fat Radish will provide food, along with cocktails.

Showtime attendees will also have the opportunity to attend presentations by Swarovski Elements and Web4Retail.

"Inspirations for Swarovski Elements: Autum/Winter 2012-2013," will be presented by Jane Matteson at 10 a.m., Monday; and at 2 p.m., Tuesday. Swarovski Elements is the premium brand for the finest crystal elements manufactured by Swarovski. The in-house team of highly qualified trend and design experts develops five Swarovski Elements Inspirational Directions for each fashion season. See what the in-depth research and analysis gathered from around the world reveals. 

A second educational seminar, "Social Media: Are You in the Game???" will be presented by Web4Retail on Monday at 2 p.m., and again on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Presenter Sev Ritchie invites all for a discussion on the role Internet marketing and social media play in the retail process.

All presentations will take place on the top floor of the Suites at Market Square on the 1-900/1-1000 aisle.
