Affordable Home Furnishings Opens in Former Borders Space

The former Borders Books space at the Wynnewood Shopping Center has its second new tenant since the bankrupt bookselling chain closed all of its remaining stores nationally in September. Affordable Home Furnishings opened Saturday with a toehold on the first floor of the store, close on the heels of Halloween Adventure, which occupied the space through October. Owner Barney Daley, who talked with a reporter Sunday afternoon as a stream of curious shoppers stopped in, said he will eventually fill both floors of the 26,000-square foot store, aiming for a full grand opening around New Years Day.
