LifeStyles Furniture Supports Homeless

By Home Furnishings Business in Community/Charitable Support on November 28, 2011

LifeStyles Furniture is working to help raise money this holiday season for the Humility of Mary Homeless Shelter in Davenport, Iowa.

Customers purchasing a Stressless recliner through Jan. 16 who make a $50 tax deductible donation through LifeStyles Furniture will receive $200 off sales price on a Stressless recliner purchase or $400 off on a Stressless Royal recliner purchase in-store or online.

Donations can be made per recliner to receive the special discount for each individual recliner purchase. LifeStyles Furniture will have many models in-stock ready for express delivery within three to five days during this promotion.

The Humility of Mary Shelter emergency shelter has 70 beds and is open seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The facility also serves as a day shelter 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and provides a safe place for individuals and community members to come in out of the heat or cold. The shelter is always in need of sheets, blankets, soap, shampoo, razors, towels, bags, clothing, coffee, sugar and cups. The shelter relies on generosity donations and volunteers which are an essential part of providing crucial support services for those individuals who need temporary housing as well as services that they are not able to provide for themselves.

LifeStyles Furniture is a modern contemporary furniture store serving the greater Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois. Its newly remodeled store in Davenport opened July 2011 after moving from its previous location in Moline, Ill., where the store had been located for the last 20 years.
