Williams-Sonoma Buys Rejuvenation

By Home Furnishings Business in Acquisition on November 7, 2011 Home furnishings retailer Williams-Sonoma (NYSE: WSM) has acquired Rejuvenation,  a producer of reproduction lighting and home hardware like door and cabinet fixtures.

The transaction price was not disclosed.

"Rejuvenation and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. share the vision of enhancing our customers' lives at home," said Laura Alber, president and CEO of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. "We are excited about the opportunity for us to grow the Rejuvenation brand by leveraging Williams-Sonoma, Inc.'s direct marketing and e-commerce capabilities with Rejuvenation's high-quality, specialty products."

Founded in 1977, Rejuvenation's product line is geared toward reproductions of products from the 1870s to the 1960s. The company sells its products through its catalog, Web site and retail stores located in Portland, Ore., Seattle, and Los Angeles.

"Williams-Sonoma, Inc. will bring the resources and ingredients needed to build Rejuvenation into a full-fledged national brand.
