West Elm Pops up in Towson, Md.

By Home Furnishings Business in Furniture Retailing on November 2, 2011

Home furnishings retailer West Elm will open a pop-up shop in Towson Town Center, Towson, Md., next Thursday.

The store will be the Williams-Sonoma retail brand's second pop-up shop, opening with a unique assortment of furniture, decor and gifts. On opening day, Nov. 10, all tabletop and throws, including the West Elm Favorite Throw, will be 20 percent off.

"All our stores are designed to create a shopping experience of ongoing discovery and fun for our customers--and the holidays are when we do this best," said Jim Brett, president of West Elm. "We are excited to join the Baltimore design scene at this perfect time of year."

In addition to furniture and accessories, the new pop-up's assortment, picked specifically for Towson Town Center, includes unique gifts, decor and entertaining pieces, as well as a fun assortment of products that can be ordered monogrammed or personalized; as well as collaborations with Egg Press on holiday dinnerware, an exclusive knife collection from the Schmidt Brothers, and a five-piece furniture collection designed by Paul Loebach.

Products not stocked at the West Elm pop-up shop can be ordered in the store and shipped directly to the customer.

West Elm currently has 36 retail stores and sells online at westelm.com.
