SuperCat Adds Features to eCat Sales App

By Home Furnishings Business in Retail Technology on October 18, 2011

SuperCat Solutions, the provider of the eCat iPad sales app, has added new features for easier order taking.

MyStacks is a user-definable product grouping to prepare customer presentations in advance, save customer "maybe" lists for follow up, and to create stacks of territory best sellers.

"Our eCat users are delighted with eCat's new MyStacks feature, which is a great complement  to the SmartStacks published to all of the organization€™s iPads by home office management," said Steve Thrasher, president of SuperCat Solutions, Wilson, N.C. "MyStacks saves sales reps hours of preparation time by emabling them to group products into presentation 'modules' in advance, which in turn allows them to spend more time with customers actually selling product. Management finds SmartStacks useful for showroom and product planning along with other product related back office tasks."

Other recently added new features include the ability to print tear sheets and product reports from the iPad;
the ability to quickly email product photos in several different formats, with the choice to display any price level or no pricing at all; the ability to add notes through enhancements to the product option features; enhancements to the order e-mail format, giving customers the ability to check product images in the order email and to create tear sheets for pre-selling product; the ability to easily publish custom product information to the app, including information specific to product type, like bulb wattage and shade dimensions for lighting companies or seat depth and arm height for case goods companies; the ability to select a customer to associate with an order in the app; the ability to pre-load customer lists including details such as contact information, billing address, shipping address, pricing discounts and the designated distribution center.

Pricing can also be pre-set for each customer by categories set by the company, such as wholesaler, designer, retailer or preferred dealer. Pre-determined calculations can be made as the order is taken based on, for example, multiples and net price as well as by layered pricing based on volume, weight or distance.
