Globe Express Opens 3 New Locations

By Home Furnishings Business in Delivery on August 31, 2011

Worldwide logistics provider Globe Express Services has opened three new corporate locations in Miami, Fla.; and Guangzhou and Suzhou, China.

These openings mark the first step in an integrated plan to expand the company's corporate office network from 42 to 50 by the end of 2011, in order to have the right people in the right places to support its ambitious future growth. Charlotte, N.C.-based GES delivers customized logistics solutions to a diverse global client base doing business in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and around the world.

Located in a 110,000-square-foot, multifunctional site, GES Miami will serve as a gateway facility for Latin American trade.

"By setting up shop in Miami, we provide that direct service link between Latin America, the Caribbean and the rest of the countries we already serve," said Tony Bikhazi, president-the Americas.

"GES Miami offers a wide variety of multimodal, project-type and value-added logistics services, including inventory management and distribution, all within a scalable, multi-functional, bonded facility with close proximity to all local air and sea ports," added Vice President Sales & Development for Florida, Latin America & the Caribbean Richard Palma. "This will allow us to strengthen our focus on the Latin American region, especially in key markets such as Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru."

Globe Express also is expanding its China platform with new offices in Guangzhou and Suzhou, bringing its total number of in-country corporate locations to 10.

"In line with the company's global expansion strategy, we have added a Guangzhou office to strengthen our network in southern China, and a Suzhou office to further develop our coverage in various industries, such as high-tech, automotive, textiles, chemicals and pharmaceuticals," said President of Asia Pacific & Indian Subcontinent Georges Mejaes. "We are also providing logistics services for key chemical companies, and working to build our dangerous goods distribution network in China. This is an exciting time of growth for our company, and China is of significant strategic importance to us."
