Surya, Hearst Expand Country Living Collection

By Home Furnishings Business in licensing on July 8, 2011 Surya Rugs and Hearst Brand Development are expanding their partnership by adding a new collection to the Country Living line of rugs.

The addition, The Happy Cottage collection, will debut at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market next week. The collection includes 18 dhurrie rugs constructed of 100 percent wool.

"Our expanded rug collection offers the perfect range of designs to serve today's personalized approach to decorating," said Glen Ellen Brown, vice president of Hearst Brand Development. "The enhanced color palette offers a fresh update on the classic country style that our readers know and love."

Satya Tiwari, president of Surya, is confident  the company's retailers are going to love the collection.

The new Happy Cottage collection with Country Living and Surya shows what great design partnerships can do," he said. "These rugs are full of cheerful colors and the designs work wonderfully well in flat-weave construction."
