Liberty Furniture Wraps Up 87 Years in Jacksonville

Liberty Furniture began a liquidation sale this week, and soon ts 87-year history as a Jacksonville retailer will end, the store announced. Owner Marvin Sherman said the store has weathered downturns before in a history that includes the entirety of the Great Depression and World War II and that has supported three generations but said the current recession has been too much to bear. However, this declinedating back to 2006has been longer and deeper than anything we've experienced.
