Furniture Classics Marks 20th Anniversary

By Home Furnishings Business in Case Goods on June 23, 2011 Furniture Classics Limited will celebrate its 20th anniversary this summer with a number a market specials at markets in Atlanta and Las Vegas.

During both markets, the company will serve hors d'oeuvres in the afternoons, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The company was founded by R. Douglas Ricks in 1991 as a specialist in hand-carved 18th century mahogany reproductions. Since then, the company has expanded to include reproductions from the 19th and 20th century, and upholstery. In addition, the company has an outdoor seating division called Two Palms Casual.

Furniture Classics plans to add to its product assortment during markets in 2011.

€œThe timing is right,€ said Michael Ricks, president. €œWe were fortunate to benefit from new customer growth during the recent recession. From the design trade and lifestyle specialty stores to independent retailers and Top 100 accounts, our customer base has expanded across the board. This is due in part to our broad and diverse product line, but also to our continued focus on value pricing. Our product and pricing, coupled with our commitment to keeping a strong domestic inventory makes Furniture Classics a profitable and dependable resource. With continued strength in the business climate, we feel that now is the time catapult forward with our most aggressive product launch ever.€
